POLLING day on May 5, 2013 (5+5+2+0+13) adds up to 7, which coincidentally is a good or lucky number for both PM Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“If both leaders use the number 7 more, it will certainly give them a big boost in their political careers,” predicts Datuk David Hew, an Australian who is a co-founder of Visiber, which promotes the use of numbers (1 to 9) to analyse behaviour and enhance personal development.
According to him, it’s a coincidence that both Najib and Anwar once again share the same lucky number(s): 3, 4, 6 and 7 (of which 7 is the strongest).
However, Hew forecasts that May 5 is not such a good day for Barisan Nasional and favours the opposition.
According to him, nomination day (April 20) appears to favour BN but “it’s too premature to celebrate as it is still not the finishing line just yet.”
Hew, however, shares “lucky” tips for Najib and Anwar. He believes that Najib’s strong colours are gold or white for authority, yellow for fortune and red for fame. Anwar, on the other hand, would be wise to wear red for power, green for fortune and blue for fame.
Klang-based astrologer Thuravi says that the dissolution of Parliament fell on April 3 and this was not a good day.
“It fell on the eighth day of the waxing moon (descending season). We call it ‘Asthami’ thithi (day). On this day, Indians do not do anything auspicious or eventful. We believe that whatever we start on this day will end in tragedy or entail a bad result,” he says.
As Parliament was dissolved on such an inauspicious day, some may view that as not “a good start”.
Nomination day (April 20), he says, is “not a good day” according to Indian astrology.
“We call this Maranayogam,” he says.
Election day (May 5) is fine as it falls during the season when the moon descends.
“This is a good day and good decisions will be made for the country,” Thuravi says.
Feng shui master Gan Wai Kwang predicts that the polling date (May 5) does not favour BN.
“Najib’s birth date and polling date appear to clash,” says Gan, who foresees obstacles in the PM’s path.
He claims that based on Najib’s birth date, there is an official star sign in conflict, which means that Najib’s “official position” may face resistance and challenges.
Najib was born in the Year of the Snake (in 1953) and this year is not a smooth year for him as he is said to offend Tai Sui (the Grand Duke of Jupiter).
However, Gan says Najib can still lessen the impact of negative forces and boost his luck by wearing a rabbit pendant.
He adds that Najib also needs a water element to boost his luck this year.
