Persona SV

Proton Persona SV dilancarkan oleh Proton Holdings Berhad (Proton) pada tarikh 30 November 2013 yang lepas, bersempena karnival Proton Bola! Bola! Bola! yang diadakan di kawasan tempat meletak kereta di Stadium Shah Alam, Selangor.

Sama seperti model Proton Saga SV yang diperkenalkan pada Jun 2013, Persona SV hadir dengan tema yang sama iaitu menawarkan sebuah model kereta sedan pada harga yang berpatutan dengan ciri-ciri yang lebih bernilai. Perkataan SV merupakan singkatan daripada perkataan Inggeris iaitu ‘Super Value’ yang bermaksud ‘nilai luar biasa’.

Tetapi, anda mungkin tertanya-tanya apakah ciri-ciri dan nilai yang menjadikan Proton Persona SV sebagai sebuah model yang berbaloi dan mampu untuk dimiliki? Ketika ini, terdapat dua varian model Persona yang ditawarkan di pasaran, iaitu Persona Standard dan Persona SV.

Untuk melihat setiap kekurangan dan kelebihan yang ada pada Proton Persona SV, saya akan membuat perbandingan di antara Persona SV dan Persona Standard, berdasarkan maklumat-maklumat yang dipaparkan di dalam laman rasmi Proton Edar Sdn Bhd.

Kedua-dua varian sama ada Persona Standard mahu pun Persona SV masih dikuasakan enjin Campro IAFM berkapasiti 1.6 liter, dengan kuasa kuda 110hp dan tork maksimum 148Nm. Transmisi yang dibekalkan terdiri daripada jenis manual 5-kelajuan dan automatik 4-kelajuan.

Perbezaan paling ketara ialah berkenaan harga bagi kedua-dua varian terbabit. Proton Persona Standard versi manual ditawarkan pada harga bermula dari RM47,533.50, sementara Persona SV versi manual hanya berharga dari RM44,938.00. Perbezaan harga di antara kedua-duanya ialah sebanyak RM2,595.50.

Begitu juga bagi versi automatik untuk kedua-dua varian. Proton Persona Standard automatik dijual pada harga dari RM50,533.50, sementara Persona SV automatik dijual pada harga bermula dari hanya RM47,938.00. Perbezaan harga bagi kedua-duanya juga sebanyak RM2,595.50.

Pada harga yang lebih rendah berbanding Persona Standard, Persona SV sudah tentu menjadi sebuah model yang lebih mampu untuk dimiliki. Namun, adakah spesifikasi yang ada pada Persona SV telah dikurangkan demi menjadikan harganya lebih rendah?

Mungkin tidak. Ini kerana Proton Persona SV didatangkan dengan ciri-ciri dan spesifikasi yang bagi saya sudah cukup baik dan agak di luar jangkaan saya sebelum ini.

Antara kelebihan-kelebihan yang ada pada Persona SV jika dibandingkan dengan Persona Standard ialah model terbabit memiliki dua beg udara, brek cakera di keempat-empat tayar, sistem keselamatan ABS dan EBD, serta sistem pengendalian ‘Lotus Ride & Handling’ yang mantap. Tayar dan rim juga masih menggunakan saiz yang sama; tayar dari siri 195/60 dan rim bersaiz 15 inci.

Persona Standard seperti mana maklumat yang tertera di dalam laman rasmi Proton Edar hanya dibekalkan beg udara tunggal untuk pemandu, serta brek cakera hanya untuk tayar di bahagian depan sahaja. Tayar di bahagian belakangnya masih dibekalkan sistem brek jenis ‘drum’.

Bagi saya perbezaan jumlah beg udara dan adanya brek cakera di bahagian tayar belakang menjadikan Persona SV sebagai sebuah model yang boleh dikatakan lebih lengkap dari segi ciri keselamatannya berbanding Persona Standard.

Mungkin kebanyakan model kereta sedan dalam segmen B yang berada dipasaran ketika ini memiliki sekurang-kurangnya dua beg udara dan empat brek cakera, namun pada harga di bawah RM50K, apa yang ditawarkan oleh Proton melalui Persona SV bagi saya sangat berbaloi.

Bagaimanapun, Persona SV tidak terlepas daripada beberapa kekurangan yang terpaksa dilakukan oleh Proton bagi menjadikan harganya lebih berdaya saing dan mampu milik.

Hasil pemerhatian mendapati beberapa item kini tidak lagi dibekalkan untuk Persona SV. Item-item tersebut adalah seperti berikut : ‘Coil Mat’, ‘Multi-purpose Container’, ‘Door Visor’, ‘Security Etching’, ‘First Aid Kit’, ‘Luggage Tray’, ‘Tint Film’, ‘Safety Triangle’, ‘Trunk Lid Cover’, ‘Exhaust Tip’, ‘Fog Lamp’, dan cermin sisi kini perlu dilaras secara manual.

Proton Persona SV boleh didapati dalam pilihan enam jenis warna seperti ‘Chiffon Green’, ‘Tranquillity Black’, ‘Bronze Garnet’, ‘Genetic Silver’, ‘Solid White’ dan ‘Fire Red’. Sebagai tambahan yang menjadikannya lebih eksklusif, Persona SV turut ditawarkan warna ‘Atlantic Blue’ yang sebelum ini diperkenalkan pada model hatchback Suprima S.

Ditawarkan pada harga serendah dari RM44,938.00 (atas jalan termasuk insuran, Semenanjung Malaysia), Persona SV didatangkan dengan jaminan pengeluar selama 2 tahun atau jarak perbatuan sejauh 50,000 km, yang mana tiba dahulu.

US manufacturing growth slowed in December

US manufacturing sector growth slowed slightly in December after six straight monthly gains, the Institute for Supply Management said on Thursday.

The ISM purchasing managers index for December fell to 57.0 from 57.3 the previous month.

It was still the second highest reading of the year; in January 2013 the index stood at 53.1. A reading above 50 represents expansion.

Among components of the index, new orders and hiring picked up pace and prices rose more quickly,while production was slower. Producer and customer inventories contracted.

Comments from those surveyed "generally reflect a solid final month of the year, capping off the second half of 2013, which was characterized by continuous growth and momentum in manufacturing," the ISM said.

A respondent from the computer and electronics sector cited "Good overall business conditions nationally and internationally."

New Proton Perdana based on 8th gen Honda Accord handed over – PM gets a stretched version!

Proton handed over the first batch of new Proton Perdana cars over to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak today at a ceremony in Putrajaya. The badge on the rear says Perdana and not some other name, making this the second Proton nameplate to get a ‘second generation’ after the Saga.

Just as our previous spyshots of mildly disguised previous generation Accords being tested indicated, the new Proton Perdana is based on the previous generation Honda Accord. And like the Accord, the new Proton Perdana is available with either a 2.0 litre and 2.4 litre engine, both sourced from Honda.

Changes on the front include a new Proton grille and a completely new bumper design. The car also gets a new alloy wheel design. On the rear, we see that the tail lamp elements on the boot lid have been removed, but the chrome that used to run along it at the bottom remains there. This chrome is extended around the sides and bottom of the number plate area.

The big boss man himself gets a stretched version, with the government’s crest in the extended section between the front and rear windows. We wonder what the new wheelbase measurement is.

The Honda Accord already has a huge interior with lots of rear legroom – this will certainly allow the PM to completely stretch out his legs and relax. The window line is different for the long wheelbase Perdana – it has a rather Buick-like dip at the rear to allow for a larger rear window.

Previous reports have indicated that this will be the first phase of the Perdana replacement model project, which will consist of 3,000 units for government use. The initial delivery is 200 units, with the remaining to be delivered on a staggered basis. The car obviously has lots of metal that indicates it is an Accord, but it will be developed further for a general market introduction in two years time.

The mass market car will continue to use this shared platform but will have a completely new exterior and interior, according to Proton Executive Chairman Tan Sri Mohd Khamil Jamil. This short term solution was developed in eight months. 

“Even with such short request time, we were up for the challenge – and through sheer dedication and hard work, we are here today to present the completed Perdana. We are truly grateful to the Prime Minister and the Malaysian Government for keeping their faith in Proton, and for giving us the opportunity to once again be the provider of the official Government vehicle. I represent all Warga Proton when I say that this moment serves as inspiration and motivation for us to work even harder than ever, to continue leading the national automotive industry,” added Tan Sri Mohd Khamil.

New-look Proton Perdana launched as official goverment car

 

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak launched the new-look Proton Perdana as the official government car on Wednesday.

The new version of the Proton Perdana comes in two variants, the Perdana 2.0 L and 2.4 L, with improved security features and comfort.

Two special edition units of the car were brought out for Najib and Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

At the event, Najib received his official car bearing the registration number W 11 N.

Several Cabinet ministers and Proton executive chairman Tan Sri Mohd Khamil Jamil were present at the event.

Later, at a press conference, Mohd Khamil said Proton Holdings Berhad, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DRB-Hicom, had delivered the first batch of 200 units to the Government.

He said a total of 3,000 units would be delivered on a staggered basis over the space of two years to replace the existing fleet of Proton Perdanas.

"For the moment, the new Proton Perdana will be used only as the official car of the government. It will not be sold to the public.

"Proton has received requests from the state governments and statutory bodies to make the switch as well, but this is subject to approval," he said.

Mohd Khamil said the new Proton Perdana was part of the development programme undertaken by Proton with its collaborative partner, Honda of Japan.

"We are truly grateful to our Prime Minister and the Malaysian government for keeping their faith in Proton and for giving us the opportunity once again to be the provider of the official government vehicle," he said.

Mohd Khamil said the Perdana replacement model came under the first phase of Proton's plan to develop a new D-segment (large family) car.

He said Proton had began the second phase of the programme which involved further development of the D-Segment model under a platform-sharing initiative with Honda, with a completely new interior design and exterior changes.

"It will be unveiled to the Malaysian market in 18 to 24 months' time, and will be sold to the public," he said. - Bernama

Sudah lama rasanya ProtonCLUB tidak update berita terbaru mengenai dunia permotoran buatan tempatan. Sempat admin selak Google untuk lihat mana tau kalau-kalau ada berita mengenai Proton Perdana yang masih belum mendapat pengganti lagi. Dan hasilnya, terjumpa beberapa keping gambar 'spyshot' kereta pengganti kepada Proton Perdana.

TIPS KALAU KERETA KENA BANJIR

Sekiranya keseluruhan kereta anda tenggelam termasuk enjin dan bahagian dalam kereta,

 

JANGAN SESEKALI CUBA HIDUPKAN ENJIN KERETA!!!
Tindakan ini biasanya akan dilakukan oleh ejen-ejen bengkel atau kereta penunda. Sebabnya supaya tuan punya kereta terpaksa membayar lebih tinggi untuk membaiki kereta kerana apabila anda cuba menghidupkan enjin kereta, aliran elektrik akan mengalir dan mengakibatkan litar pintas pada kotak komputer.

 

Ini berlaku kerana masih terdapat saki baki air di dalam alat berkenaan, dan jika ia berlaku, alat tersebut terpaksa diganti. Kos untuk sebuah kotak komputer adalah lebih kurang RM1000 - RM1500 bergantung kepada jenis kereta, cc dan pilihan pengguna

Tindakan ini juga akan menyebabkan kesemua sensor yang biasanya akan beroperasi semasa kita menghidupkan enjin terbakar. Biasanya satu sensor harganya tidak berapa mahal tetapi kesan daripada sensor yang tidak berfungsi boleh menyebabkan kos yang tinggi.

 

Kita ambil contoh, sensor untuk mengesan atau untuk mengarah minyak kotak gear (gearbox) mengalir dengan baik di dalam kotak gear apabila tidak berfungsi akan menyebabkan pengagihan minyak gearbox tidak sekata dan paling lama gearbox tersebut boleh berfungsi dengan baik adalah 2 hingga 3 bulan.

Selepas itu, keseluruhan gearbox terpaksa diganti (harga untuk gearbox baru wira 1.6 auto adalah lebih kurang RM7000).

Ini adalah salah satu sebab kenapa apabila kita membeli kereta baru, waranty kereta akan termansuh apabila kita mengubahsuai sistem elektirk kereta termasuk sistem audio kereta kerana apabila sensor tidak menerima jumlah elektrik yang cukup, ia tidak dapat berfungsi dengan baik dan peralatan yang berkaitan dengannya akan rosak.

 

Jadi beringatlah, jangan sesekali berikan kunci kereta anda kepada mekanik ataupun ejen bengkel sehingga dipastikan kotak komputer dan sistem pendawaian elektrik dikeringkan sepenuhnya.
Ia tidak akan rosak walaupun ditenggelami air!!!!
